Our Story

Our primary goal is to create a successful business which provides workforce mentoring, recruitment, labour solutions and targeted programs to support Indigenous talent and engagement.


Mandana has a strong focus on family values; trust, passion, humour and treating everyone the same with care and support. We value and respect our communities' and partners' contribution. We also pride ourselves on being an organisation that celebrates its employees.


The business was formed by Peter Jackson of the Mandandanji People of Southwest Queensland, and Intura, a local recruitment business that Peter had dealt with over many years. Both Peter and Intura had the same goal to provide career pathways for Indigenous talent and create programs for more effective Indigenous engagement to better the lives of First Nation people. The name Mandana means “Family” in Peter’s traditional language.


Peter Jackson is the managing director with over two decades of successful experience in working with First Nations Peoples. Peter specialises in; Indigenous engagement, mentoring, and Indigenous recruitment. A strong believer in his Culture, which he enjoys the opportunity to share with everyone. 


A dedicated, resourceful professional with extensive service-oriented experience in project/program management, coordination, and stakeholder engagement within the public and private sectors. This experience was gained across a broad industry base including oil and gas and the renewable industries, sport and recreation, health and education.
