'It's not just a job, it's a future'

We understand that many Indigenous jobseekers face extra challenges entering the workforce and we work to bridge the gap and create meaningful employment opportunities.

Most companies have varying commitments and strategies for Indigenous employment. Our approach can be adapted to best support and guide Indigenous Employment or initiatives on what best works for your business.

Different types of Indigenous Employment Opportunities

Traineeship and Apprenticeship Positions

These programs are usually a 12 and up to 36-month paid work experience traineeship program for Indigenous Peoples’ looking for a career pathway in specific industries.

A traineeship is an excellent development opportunity that builds highly practical skills. Trainees can become work ready to gain a competitive edge in the employment market.

Undertaking this traineeship will lead to a broad range of career outcomes in product and service-related businesses – from Business, Human Resources, operator, and as a safety professional across different fields.

Indigenous Supervisor and Management Programs

Mandana’s focus has always been on giving First Nations People a future, not just a job. We are currently developing a Field Supervisor program with a key client to provide existing indigenous employees with the opportunity to progress their careers into management.

One of the most unrepresented groups in management is indigenous women. Mandana is committed to increasing the number of indigenous women employed across our client base and presently over 50% of our trainees are female. Traineeship area potential stepping stone to management but further training is required. For this reason Mandana is currently developing the I-WIMN (I-WOMAN) program to allow for the development of the skills required for indigenous women to enter senior management. I-WIMN stands for:

I – Indigenous

W – Women

I – In

M – Management

N - Now

Labour Hire

Mandana can also provide both indigenous and non-indigenous labour hire services if required and currently have contracts with major companies, such as Origin Energy. The labour hire services are supported by a team of professionals and systems that allow Mandana to effectively deliver services across multiple industries Australia wide.
