Reconciliation Action Plans and Indigenous Participation Plans

Mandana has significant experience in developing and assisting in the implementation of Reconciliation Action Plans (RAP) and Indigenous Participation Plans (IPP).

Over 1,100 private and public sector organisations have a registered RAP and IPP outlining their commitments to Indigenous engagement.

These two documents will provide additional support and guidance in your ongoing professional development and opportunities to make strong and positive connections with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

Reconciliation Action Plan

A RAP is a strategic document that supports your business plan and will ensure your projects and actions remain aligned with and can contribute to the national reconciliation movement both internally and within the communities you operate in.

Mandana will partner and guide you on this journey with ongoing support and commitment to acknowledge and value the long history and deep connection to the land and traditions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples.

The development of a RAP can demonstrate your ongoing support and commitment to partner and engage with the local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities where you work through the delivery of employment and training programs and partnerships with Indigenous businesses and organisations.

Mandana will help you build and maintain a respectful and sustainable relationship with First Nations People which is a core value within a RAP. This will enable you to better understand the needs and aspirations of First Nations People and to encourage consideration as an employer of choice.

Indigenous Participation Plan

An IPP is a strategic document that helps to identify and detail practical actions that a company can implement that improves the lives and understanding of First Nation Peoples through direct engagement whilst operating on the traditional lands of many First Nations and their communities.

The Indigenous Participation Plan will explain the goals for Indigenous participation and how it will collaborate with the Indigenous communities to share in the benefits that it will bring to the regions you operate in.

We will work together to help build your relationship with the Indigenous Communities to create meaningful opportunities that deliver lasting benefits for all workers, their families, and their communities.

In building this partnership with Mandana, these plans, the RAP and IPP, will help you understand community strengths and any challenges that you’ll need to overcome to increase the participation of Indigenous Australians and Indigenous businesses in the area in which they service.

The RAP and IPP are developed using a tried and tested process that Peter Jackson has developed over his 20 years of Indigenous engagement experience. We will ensure it is compliant with Reconciliation Australia and Mandana will guide you on registering the completed RAP and IPP.
